Owning Immortals is also a perk on the Standard leaderboard.
Why? Because your Leaderboard rewards will scale based on the number, type and purity of Immortals you own.
Your overall score (and rank) will not change, but your weekly rewards might be multiplied by up to 16!
This is how it works: for each Purity type, the base rewards of your Immortals will be summed up (up to a ceiling) to create individual multipliers which will then be summed up together to create the final multiplier of your initial leaderboard reward.
These multipliers are averaged out during all the tournament duration, meaning that if you own no Immortal and play a game then buy a Rough Pawn (Base reward = 20 IP) and play a game, your multiplier will be (0 + 20)/2 = 10 %
Here are the ceiling you can reach:
- Rough: 100%
- Polished: 200%
- Piece of Art: 400%
- Masterpiece: 800%
Here is a practical example:
-
Initial reward ($R_{i}$): 0.1 ETH
-
Rough pieces owned:
- 1 Pawn (Base reward: 20)
- 2 Bishops (2*24)
- 1 Rook (28)
⇒ for a total of 96 points
⇒ Rough multiplier ($M_{r}$): 96%
-
Polished pieces owned:
- 2 Knights (2*48)
- 2 Bishops (2*48)
- 1 Queen (64)
- 1 King (64)
⇒ for a total of 320 points
⇒ Polished multiplier ($M_{p}$): 200% (capped)
-
Piece of Art pieces owned:
- 1 Pawn (80)
- 1 Genesis Rook (123)
⇒ for a total of 203 points
⇒ Piece of Art multiplier ($M_{poa}$): 203%
-
No Masterpiece
⇒ Masterpiece multiplier ($M_{m}$): 0%
Your total reward ($R_{t}$) will therefore be:
$R_{t} = R_{i} \times (1+M_{r}+M_{p}+M_{poa}+M_{m})$
$R_{t} = 0.1 \times (1+0.96+2.00+2.03+0)$
$R_{t} = 0.599 \ ETH$
