What is a puzzle?
It is a challenge to find the next best move(s) in a given chess position. Typically, it involves a situation where a player needs to find a single move or combination of moves to achieve a specific objective, such as checkmating the opponent's king, winning a piece, giving you a significant advantage.

Puzzles are a fun and effective way to improve your chess skills, stimulate your mind, and explore the various aspects of the game of chess. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, chess puzzles can offer you a rewarding learning experience.

Our puzzles are designed to help you develop your tactical skills by solving specific problems on the chessboard.

Our puzzles require you to analyze different move variations and evaluate their consequences. This helps you develop your calculation skills and ability to make informed decisions in complex situations.

Solving chess puzzles requires concentration and attention to detail. You need to carefully analyze the position on the chessboard and look for effective solutions.
- Improve your chess memory
Chess puzzles expose you to typical configurations and patterns of the chess game. By regularly solving problems, you familiarize yourself with these patterns and improve your chess memory.
How to play Puzzles on Immortal Game?
Once connected, on the main page, you will see the button to access the Puzzles. You can also have access on the quick sidebar.
After clicking on either of the two options, you will enter the Puzzle game mode. On your first login, a modal will explain the principles of the puzzles. After clicking on "Play now!", you can start solving as many puzzles as you want. For free!
When a puzzle appears, you need to find and make the next best move(s).

Ongoing streak and best streak of successful solving.

Time elapsed since the puzzle was displayed.

Your puzzle score and its progression (it is a separate ELO from the in-game ELO).

Statistics of the current session.

The color of the piece you should play.

The option to request a hint. Please note that the puzzle will be considered lost if you ask for a hint (the game will remind you the first time). There are two levels of hints:
- On the first click, the game will highlight the piece you should move.
- On the second click, the game will directly give you the expected move.
When you solve a puzzle or make an incorrect move, the puzzle completion screen appears. Please note that:
- You earn points that are added to your Puzzle score if you solve the puzzle.
- You lose points that are subtracted from your Puzzle score if you fail to solve the puzzle or use at least one hint.
